South Korea's anti-corruption agency on Thursday transferred to prosecutors its case against impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, recommending his indictment for insurrection and abuse of power over his brief martial law declaration.

South Korean investigators asked prosecutors to indict the country’s detained President Yoon Suk Yeol over his short-lived imposition of martial law last month, as it accused him of rebellion, abuse of power and obstruction of parliament.

South Korean anti-corruption agency wrapped up a preliminary investigation into President Yoon Suk Yeol over his ill-fated martial law declaration, and asked prosecutors to indict the impeached leader on charges of insurrection.
