The Trump administration does not know the whereabouts of 137 Venezuelans it unlawfully deported last year, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, adding that attempting to offer them due process would impact US foreign policy interests in the country.
Marco Rubio said the U.S. could not retrieve 137 Venezuelans deported under Trump, citing delicate talks with Maduro’s successor.
The Trump administration has ended Temporary Protected Status for about 600,000 Venezuelan immigrants, part of a broader effort to curb avenues for immigrants to remain in the United States.
