A dead whale is trapped at Alameda Beach on Sunday afternoon. The whale is seen lifeless close to shore, pictured below. East Bay Regional Park District told KRON4 that the whale has now washed to shore.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Monday towed a 40-foot long gray whale to the shores at Angel Island so it can be examined by biologists. The whale washed up near Crown Beach in Alameda over the weekend.
