ConocoPhillips profit falls to $2.6 billion as lower commodity prices take toll
New York-listed ConocoPhillips posted first-quarter earnings of $2.6 billion, some $300 million less than a year earlier, due to lower commodity prices, higher costs and higher depreciation, depletion and amortisation, offset somewhat by increased production, a tax benefit and a gain on an asset sale.
