The flash composite purchasing managers’ index for the eurozone, tracked by policymakers as an early gauge of economic fortunes, rose to an 11-month high of 51.4 in April, up from 50.3 a month earlier. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast a lower reading of 50.8.
