Not long after update 2.19 for Ghost of Tsushima was pushed out, fans began reporting widespread troubles in the game's single-player component. Specifically, players have been reporting that there are frequent slowdowns and freezing that are occurring on a consistent basis.

Who knew an innocent-looking Ghost of Tsushima crossplay update could be so painful? Designed to bring PC and PS5 players together, it broke the game instead.

Ghost of Tsushima update 2.19 rolled out earlier today on the PS5, the patch notes for which revolve around Legends multiplayer mode. However, one unintended consequence of the update is that it broke the single-player mode for a number of players.

Update: Sucker Punch says it's put a stop to the freezing problem that's been plaguing Ghost of Tsushima since the release of its latest update. Patch 2.19 adds support for crossplay, but after installing it,

Eshkeri and Umebayashi's wonderful soundtrack built up Ghost of Tsushima so much in my head that I was afraid to dive in.

Ghost of Tsushima update 2.19 is now available to download, and preps the game for Crossplay support ahead of the PC release on May 16.
