Orioles are trying to strike a balance with recently demoted outfielder Heston Kjerstad and other top prospects — getting them major league exposure but also regular at-bats.

The Baltimore Orioles have called up yet another notable young hitter, promoting outfielder Kyle Stowers from Triple-A Norfolk, the team announced Monday. He'll be taking the roster spot of Heston Kjerstad, who has been optioned back to Triple-A.

E arlier on Monday, there was a small wave in Orioles social media with a report from The Athletic’s Britt Ghiroli that Kyle Stowers was being recalled to join the team. The team made an official announcement shortly after and the move is a simple one: Stowers is up and Heston Kjerstad is back down to the minors.
