The Texans returned to practice for the start of rookie minicamp, donning their numbers for the first time since being drafted. Several newcomers, including second-round Kamari Lassiter a nd fourth-round pick Cade Stover, already knew what numbers they’d wear in the pros, but others were still waiting to find out what would be on their backs.

The rookies are practicing for the first time as Texans on Friday, and they have new jersey numbers. The first pick in the class was second-rounder Kamari Lassiter. The cornerback is wearing 14. Other Texans who've worn that number in franchise history include receiver/returner DeAndre Carter and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Part of the new era under Jerod Mayo is the issuing of jersey numbers right off the bat. And on Friday, the Patriots announced those numbers for their rookie draft class.
