Rahul Gandhi has reportedly decided against contesting the Lok Sabha elections from either Amethi or Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh

Amethi and Raebareli – will vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on May 20. The last day for filing nominations for these is May 3 and the Congress has not yet announced its candidates for the two seats.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday targeted the Gandhi family and stated that after ruling the country for 60 years, the family is still in search of a candidate for the Prime Minister’s post.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said party chief Mallikarjun Kharge would take a final call on the candidates on the Amethi and Raebareli seats. This comes amid speculation that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi could be fielded on the seats.

The suspense over the candidature of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from Amethi and Rae Bareli constituencies has been building up with every passing minute as only two days are left to file the nominations from these two seats in Uttar Pradesh.
