After a short break from the severe t’storms, those chances are back starting this weekend. The Storm Prediction Center has our area highlighted in a slight risk for damaging winds and hail on Saturday.
A volatile weather pattern continues to take hold across the Bluegrass State following Thursday’s barrage of torrential rain and powerful thunderstorms. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning.
Any leftover rain from the overnight storms should end by late Saturday morning. The day starts with low 70s and a lot of clouds, but we'll see more sunshine Saturday afternoon. We continue to heat up with upper 80s. The humidity will make it feel like the mid to upper 90s.
Enjoy a slightly less humid air today thanks to a light north wind. A spotty shower is possible, but widespread rain and storm chances will spark this weekend.
I am tracking rain, though. Light rain. A few of us will need to run the wipers on intermittent this morning. We should be drying nicely this afternoon. Again, most of the area will stay dry, especially by Friday evening. If you are headed to the Guardians Game, it looks like a great night for baseball!
Clouds will steadily increase throughout the day along with humidity. Along with winds shifting to the south, we’ll notice a boost in temperatures, pushing highs into the upper 70s to around 80.
Confidence is increasing in the potential for severe storms in Mid-Michigan on Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of Mid-Michigan under a Slight Risk
