Plane did not encounter turbulence, but still faced forces about four times stronger than gravity when it swooped down and went up

Pilots told investigators they did not encounter turbulence, as the NTSB had said in an initial assessment the day after the incident.

The flight was marked by a series of missteps, alerts and system issues before the plane lurched violently in the sky, killing Dana Hyde, the NTSB said.
