A large Russian aerial strike on Ukraine has again left half of Kyiv's residential buildings without heating or power as temperatures across the country continue to hover around -10C. Drones, ballistic and cruise missiles targeted several locations in Ukraine, including Kyiv, Dnipro in the centre and Odesa in the south.

An overnight Russian bombardment left thousands of residential buildings in Kyiv without heating and water in -14C temperatures on Tuesday, when the Ukrainian capital was already scrambling to restore vital utilities destroyed in earlier attacks.

The Russians attacked Ukraine with ballistic and cruise missiles and over 300 strike drones, with a number of regions under attack. The most difficult situation for now is in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Russian drones attacked targets in Kyiv early on Friday, killing four people, injuring at least 19 and inflicting considerable damage on dwellings and infrastructure, Ukrainian officials said.
