Three people were killed when the Tesla Cybertruck they were riding in hit a tree and retaining wall in Piedmont, California and burst into flames.

The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration is in the process of reviewing details about last week's fatal Tesla Cybertruck crash in Piedmont that left three young adults dead and a fourth critically injured.

Three people are dead and a fourth has been hospitalized with serious injuries after their Tesla Cybertruck was involved in a single-vehicle collision in northern California and became engulfed in flames.

Responding officers used fire extinguishers, "but the fire was too intense for the extinguishers to be effective," the police chief said.
