CHOACHI, Colombia — Sebastián Caqueza says a new law to ban bullfighting in Colombia by mid-2027 will not dampen his passion for the sport that he has been practicing since has was a small boy.

Pro-bullfighting fans have vowed to appeal the decision to Colombia's highest court. The president, a longtime foe of bullfighting, is expected to sign the ban, which will go into full effect in 2028.
