The Justice Department has recently dismissed over a dozen immigration judges across 10 states, according to the union that represents them. The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers said that 15 judges were fired without cause on Friday,

The union said judges hear between 500 and 700 cases annually, and the firings will only add to the country's backlog of over 3.5 million cases.
