Eighteen southern Iowa counties are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Main threats include large hail, along with heavy rain and scattered wind gusts up to 70 mph.

(Valley) -- The National Weather Service in Valley has issued a tornado watch for parts of KMAland. The watch is in effect until 9 p.m. for Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page and Pottawattamie counties in southwest Iowa, and Douglas, Sarpy, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee and Richardson counties in southeast Nebraska.
