Google's YouTube said it is open to negotiating a fair deal with Disney to restore the entertainment giant's networks to its YouTube TV pay‑TV service, while it accused Disney of misrepresenting facts and seeking higher rates than rivals and its own smaller platforms.

YouTube TV will drop ESPN, ABC and other Disney networks at midnight ET Thursday. Google and Disney remain far apart on a deal in a dispute over pricing.

It’s been over a week since Disney pulled ESPN and ABC from YouTube TV. The record breaking blackout leaves millions without sports, news and kids’ shows.

During perhaps one of the best seasons for watching sports on television, ESPN channels were removed from the YouTube TV streaming platform. However, there are way subscribers can watch football and more sports this weekend with some help from other streaming services.

Viewers who have YouTube TV subscriptions can no longer see Disney channels after the two sides failed to agree on a new content distribution deal.

Disney is asking YouTube TV to restore ABC to its pay-TV bundle for Tuesday's Election Day as the companies negotiate a carriage renewal.

The change is effective immediately as of October 30, YouTube said in an email to customers late Thursday evening.
