Yet another of the 10 inmates who escaped from a New Orleans jail late last week has been captured, Louisiana State Police announced Tuesday night.

Investigators say a maintenance worker at a New Orleans jail shut off a water line so that inmates could break through a cell wall without being detected.

The escape has also brought new scrutiny on the Orleans Parish jail, a long-troubled facility with a history of poor conditions and insufficient oversight of inmates.
