Former Georgia insurance commissioner sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to health care fraudATLANTA (AP) — A federal judge on Friday sentenced former Georgia Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine to serve three and a half years in prison after Oxendine pleaded guilty to healthcare fraud.
The U.S. Department of Justice says the group put more than 5,000 unemployment insurance claims through the Georgia labor department's system.
