The White House says the president will grant another reprieve after two earlier orders that directed the Justice Department not to enforce a U.S. ban on the social-media app.

Under a U.S. law that went into effect Jan. 19, 2025, it is illegal for American companies to host or distribute TikTok in the country as long as it remains controlled by its Chinese owner, ByteDance.

President Trump has signed a third executive order delaying the TikTok ban by 90 days, citing ongoing talks and a desire to keep the platform active for Americans.
