Houston police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2300 block of Fulton around 1 p.m. According to officers, the 16-year-old got into an altercation with other teens outside of Northside High School when he was shot in the arm. Officers believe they have recovered the weapon.

The student, a 16-year-old boy, got into an altercation with other people near Fulton and Morris streets, just off the Northside High School campus, and was shot, according to Houston police. His injuries were not life-threatening, and two people were taken into custody.

A 14-year-old student at a North Carolina high school stabbed two of his classmates, killing one of them, during a brawl in the school's gym on Monday, said police.

Delvin Ferrell was stabbed at school on Monday and later died from his injuries.

Speaking about the victims, the local police chief said that both students were taken to the hospital and one of them later succumbed to his injuries.
