A drone strike hit central Israel on Sunday, wounding more than 60 people, some of them critically, rescue services said, in one of the bloodiest attacks in Israel in a year of war.

Hezbollah claimed a drone attack on northern Israel on Sunday that wounded more than 60 people, as the Israeli military expanded its bombardments of Lebanon and troops battled militants across the border.

Hezbollah said the drone attack was in retaliation for two Israeli strikes in Beirut on Thursday that killed 22 people.
