Prince Harry's lawyers are to demand his taxpayer-funded protection is restored as they claim it was unfair to remove police help.

The Duke of Sussex believes he was “forced” to step back from royal duties and leave the UK, he has told the High Court.

The Home Office said RAVEC had considered the "likely significant public upset" that would stem from something happening to Prince Harry and was aware of the "tragic death" of his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car accident in 1997 after her vehicle was pursued by paparazzi.

The Duke says there is "no possibility to keep them safe when they are on UK soil."

Prince Harry says the decision to remove his police protection was unfair and unreasonable. The Duke of Sussex is battling the UK government's decision to scale back his security detail in the High Court.
