UPDATE (Dec. 9): The Baltimore City Fire Department said crews will maintain fire watch operations throughout the day and then evacuate the fire zone to determine whether fire watch needs to continue.
Some 100 firefighters were called around 5:15 p.m. Thursday to fight the massive fire at Baltimore City Parks and Recreation wood recycling facility called Camp Small. No injuries were reported.
In early December, fire engulfed Camp Small, the North Baltimore property that handles many of the city's downed trees.
Approximately 100 to 125 firefighters responded to the blaze overnight at a wood recycling yard, where logs were piled 30 feet high.
Most of the wood at Camp Small is gone after a massive fire on Dec. 5, but what was thought to be the site's end is instead a new beginning.
