Measles cases in the United States have reached their highest number in more than 30 years, according to new federal data published Wednesday.

There are 1,288 confirmed measles cases across the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said, warning that numbers are the highest they've been since 1992.
