A 3-year-old Palestinian boy died Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said, days after he was shot by Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank.

A three-year-old Palestinian boy has died four days after being shot in the head by Israeli soldiers. Mohammed Tamimi was shot in the head last Thursday near his village of Nebi Saleh while riding in a car with his father. He was airlifted to Israel’s Sheba Hospital but died of his wounds on Monday, hospital officials said.

The boy, Muhammad Haitham al-Tamimi passed away on Monday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health, confirmed. The shooting occurred in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Thursday night near an Israeli settlement.

Mohammed al-Tamimi was the youngest of the 27 Palestinian children killed in Gaza and the West Bank this year.
