Prince Harry becomes the first royal in modern times to face cross-examination in court.

LONDON — Prince Harry is taking his battle with the media to a historic new stage, becoming the first high-ranking member of the British royal family in 130 years to appear as a witness in court.

Prince Harry took the stand in a case against the British tabloid newspaper “Daily Mirror” and more on June 6. He said journalists have “blood on their hands.”

As part of his mission to rein in the tabloid media, Harry is testifying and being cross-examined over at least two days in his suit against the Daily Mirror.
