KYIV: A "massive attack" by Russian forces on Ukraine's energy infrastructure has caused power outages across the country, the state grid operator said on Saturday. Russia has pressed on with its invasion of Ukraine in recent days despite the two countries holding US-brokered talks to end the nearly four-year-long war.
Washington has proposed further negotiations next week between Russian and Ukrainian delegations either in Miami or Abu Dhabi.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed Friday that the U.S. set a June deadline to reach a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, hoping to bring an end to the nearly four-year-long war in Eastern Europe.
