Trump has criticized Ramaphosa’s governing of South Africa, claiming there has been a “genocide” of white farmers.

In a White House meeting, the U.S. president is expected to point to alleged discrimination against white South Africans, a week after welcoming a group of them as refugees.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa heads to the White House on Wednesday on a delicate mission to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump to make deals with his country rather than scold and punish it as he has done since the start of his second term.
