Tesla has paused production of its Cybertruck at its Austin, Texas factory, sending workers home with pay for three days this week. Employees are set to return to work on Friday. The reason behind the unexpected shutdown remains unclear.

We reported earlier this week that Tesla has told employees working on the Cybertruck production line at Gigafactory Texas to take a few days off. It comes as Tesla appears to have some demand issues with the Cybertruck as it added incentives to buy.

The furlough follows production slowdowns in October at the plant in Texas where Elon Musk's EV maker is headquartered.
