Former President Donald Trump is visiting eastern Iowa today, set to address volunteers in Maquoketa and supporters in Dubuque.

After Donald Trump said a six-week ban signed by Ron DeSantis in Florida was “a terrible thing,” Iowa’s governor defended a similar law in her state.

Former President Trump warned Republicans they will lose elections next year unless they back exceptions to bans on abortion. “Without the exceptions, it is very difficult to win elections,” he said at a Wednesday rally in Iowa.
