The Wall Street Journal editors published a piece Monday that criticized the Manhattan DA for reportedly planning to bring an indictment against former President Donald Trump.

The GOP chairs of three House committees accused Alvin Bragg of preparing to to "engage in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority."

Trump’s comments come after a grand jury heard evidence in a New York hush money investigation. The probe is centered around a $130,000 payment former Trump aide Michael Cohen made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in the days leading up to the 2016 election to keep her from going public.

A grand jury was hearing from final witnesses Monday in the investigation into Donald Trump as law enforcement officials accelerated security preparations in advance of a possible indictment.
