Nations have reacted strongly to Israel's firing on UNIFIL headquarters in southern Lebanon, which injured two Indonesian peacekeepers. The incident, in the border town of Naqoura, has been widely condemned as a violation of international law.

Turkey condemns Israel's attacks targeting the U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon (UNIFIL), its foreign ministry said late on Thursday, adding Ankara would continue supporting similar peacekeeping initiatives and structures.

Israeli soldiers “deliberately fired and disabled” UN security cameras and fired at a UN base in southern Lebanon, “hitting the entrance to the bunker where peacekeepers were sheltering, and damaging vehicles and a communications system,” the UN mission alleged in a statement.
