The Israel Defence Forces on Friday stated that two UN peacekeepers sustained injuries after its troops opened fired at an "immediate threat," located approximately 50 meters near the UNIFIL post in southern Lebanon.

A statement from the Spanish Foreign Ministry reiterated the country’s opposition to such attacks, saying: "The government strongly condemns Israel's new assault on the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura, which has caused further injuries among peacekeeping personnel."

Turkey condemns Israel's attacks targeting the U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon (UNIFIL), its foreign ministry said late on Thursday, adding Ankara would continue supporting similar peacekeeping initiatives and structures.
