Now, the Federal National Mortgage Association, also known as Fannie Mae, has forecast that the 30-year fixed mortgage rate will come in at 6.2 percent by the end of 2024, down from 6.6 percent in the third quarter. According to Bankrate, the Mortgage Bankers Association has also predicted the same 6.2 percent figure.
