More rounds of severe storms are expected this weekend and on Monday, with the biggest risk coming at the beginning of next week.

Several counties in southwestern Oklahoma had severe storms, with high winds and some hail. These storms will continue to move east towards the Oklahoma City metro through the night. Rain chances during the day on Friday look low.

As we move through this Thursday morning, showers and storms will continue pushing east through North Texas. Some storms could be strong, capable of producing gusty winds and heavy rain. Flooding is also a concern today.

Overnight rain lingered into Thursday morning in Dallas-Fort Worth and was expected to clear up for a portion of the day before storms returned. Parts south and east of Dallas were under a flood watch Thursday night and Friday morning as some areas were forecast to get 2 to 4 inches of rain,
