Attracting butterflies, the blooms are nearly exotic in appearance, adding a tropical air to the landscape. Also, because Peppermint Smoothie is sterile, there are no messy seed pods to deal with. This 8 ft. tall, highly adaptable shrub seems custom-made for privacy hedges, but is also great for beds, borders and mass plantings. For best results, grow in well-drained soil, but this plant tolerates a fairly wide range of soil conditions. Blooms midsummer to frost.
