This is second MTD push style mower that I have bought in 9 years.Pros:* Very strong engine capable of cutting thick or wet lawns.* Very strong rear wheel drive self-propelled adds power in ditches and on uneven terrain.* Front and rear level adjustments.For the throttle and self-propelled function to work simultaneously: one hand needs to be on the handle and one hand on the interlocking throttle/self-propelled handle located above it - instead of both hands on the same handle. This, at first, was confusing but I like the amount of control it adds. I have read similar complaints but it is not a deal breaker for this mower. They sent out $35 in hardware with free shipping to resolve this issue but I didn t get the parts for three weeks. In the meantime, I went to my local hardware store to get the parts that I needed to make this $400 mower run safely and securely.I want other potential customers for this mower to understand that this is a very, very good mower that had a production problem with the hardware.
