When we need a versatile trail bike that excels on a range of conditions, we choose the Pivot Switchblade due to its mid-travel design and balanced geometry. With 142mm of DW-Link suspension travel, the Switchblade hits that sweet spot between an enduro bike and an aggressive trail bike. Riding high on dual 29-inch wheels, the Switchblade's lightweight carbon frame easily skips through rock gardens and over obstacles. A modest 66-degree head tube angle allows us to maintain snappy and agile handling on flatter terrain while simultaneously having the ability to point the wheels down and hit more technical terrain. A 76-degree seat tube angle paired with the efficient climbing characteristics of the DW-Link suspension platform means the Switchblade is a weapon on tight and technical switchbacks and climbs. Additional features on the Switchblade include a flip chip that allows us to slacken out the head tube angle and drop the bottom bracket height for extra control on steep terrain and fast speeds. Integrated downtube and chainstay protectors protect our frame from rocks and chain slaps, and the front triangle can accommodate two water bottle cages to keep us hydrated. The Ride GX transmission build of the Pivot Switchblade is a mid-tier build with quality components that won't break the bank. Pivot's lightweight carbon fiber frame is made with premium materials to give us the highest quality, lightest weight frame possible. The Fox Factory Float X features multiple adjustments so we can tune our ride quality, and it has a lightweight and reliable build. The Fox Performance Float 36, 160mm fork, is simple, handles big hits with ease, and has compression and rebound adjustments so we can tune our ride feel. DT Swiss M1900 rims give us tons of confidence as we are blasting through rough sections, and DT Swiss 370 hubs provide us with quality performance with upgradeable internals to boost our engagement. Finishing it off, the Switchblade has premium Maxxis ...
