From its English ancestry, 'Green Velvet' gets its year-round color, keeping its hue throughout the toughest of winters. For Korea, it gets its remarkable hardiness andversatile, compact habit. Clusters of pale green to cream flowers offer fragrance from their positionnestled among the small, oval leaves that add a bronze tinge in late winter. The shrub, which prefers full sun or partial shade, grows less 1 foot per year and repels deer and other wildlife.
