The compact size makes it easy to grow in a container, so you can keep it near at hand for easy harvesting.Like all lavenders, Lavandula 'Big Time Blue' needs very well-drained soil, and prefers to be kept on the dry side-water it while it is becoming established, and then let it dry out more. Very tolerant of heat, humidity, and drought, it is a fine performer in the U.S. Trim back in spring to encourage bushier growth; also deadhead after flowering.
