Container trees can be planted anytime of the year, but crapes are especially tolerant of summer heat. They actually thrive in the heat. Depending on the variety chosen, your trees will arrive at your door 6-12 inches tall. I am a school teacher and I grow hundreds of crape in my backyard. The town I live in, Waxahachie, is nicknamed the Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas. Shop your local nursery and see how much you are going to save!!
