Our Turmeric is grown near our home here in Kerala, south India, an area of unique bio-diversity and natural beauty that has attracted and astonished spice traders and adventurers for millennia. Our Turmeric is grown in the super fertile Alleppey region with a very high curcumin content of of around 6.5% making it darker and stronger than the usual turmeric available, to make the powder we collect the rootstalk which is boiled then sun dried which intensifies the colour before being polished then finally powdered. All the produce we bring you are fresh from our plantation and our farmer friends estates in the Malabar Spice mountains, an area we know, love and are proud to call our home.
