This is definitely a dress for a "lady," one who hopefully is not wearing it somewhere she will need to run for her life. Fitted and elegant, it also features a fine fabric with even finer embroidery. It is mentioned in the article that Marjorie did not like or use synthetic or synthetic blends, that most of her fabric was imported from France and Italy and that she liked "cotton that does not look like cotton." This dress very well could be cotton or a cotton silk blend. The floral design is accented with purple piping at the neckline, waist and armholes that match the decorative (not functional) ties in back. Metal zipper in back. In excellent vintage condition. Measurements are a touch conservative for safety: Bust: 33" Waist: 23" Hip: 33" Length: 39" To explore more of the fabulous finds in my store, follow this link: https://etsy.me/3bGciGP
